I have spent hours and hours trying to fix my email. In reading the other
posts, I am at least relieved to see that something is really going on and
it
is not just my system alone. I have OE6 on XP.
First my emails in my inbox just would disappear by about a hundred at a
time. Resolved at first by closing and reopening. Later they would not
come
back at all.
Finally found dbextract to restore from dbx files. (Had to restore
everything, so ended up with duplicates-compounding the low memory error).
Tried moving and deleting files. Reached a point where files would not
move
and could not delete. Close and reopen to fix.
Made sure virusscan was not scanning email.
Thought I was at a place where things were stabilizing, but continue to
get
cannot display message error and have to close. I only use this for email,
no
newsgroups.
Today, all of my sent folder is emptied (Not by me!)
Have you found any answers to this? I cannot afford to spend hours on
resolving this. Thank you!
