I sent feedback last year asking to correct the Help file.
Maybe you can do the same.

| I have just tried to view the headers of a messages in my Hotmail inbox
| via the Windows Live Hotmail (webmail). As you have discovered, the
| instructions in the help section are totally useless because they merely
| enable you to view the html properties of the page. Sadly, I could not
| find any alternative way to view the headers via the webmail interface.
|
| Fortunately, you can still use the Windows Live Mail program on your
| computer, to view the detailed message headers.
|
| There should be no problems whatsoever, if you open Windows Live Mail
| and follow the same procedure as with Outlook Express. Select the
| message. Click on File / Properties / Details. Then, if you need to
| copy / paste the data - or you if want to view the headers plus the
| message as a text file, you can click on Message Source.
