I have just tried to view the headers of a messages in my Hotmail inbox
via the Windows Live Hotmail (webmail). As you have discovered, the
instructions in the help section are totally useless because they merely
enable you to view the html properties of the page. Sadly, I could not
find any alternative way to view the headers via the webmail interface.
Fortunately, you can still use the Windows Live Mail program on your
computer, to view the detailed message headers.
There should be no problems whatsoever, if you open Windows Live Mail
and follow the same procedure as with Outlook Express. Select the
message. Click on File / Properties / Details. Then, if you need to
copy / paste the data - or you if want to view the headers plus the
message as a text file, you can click on Message Source.
