I just upgraded from OS 9.1 to OS 10.0.4 and managed to get stuck with
Internet Explorer 5.1 in the bargin. Now, everytime I attempt to check my
many e-mail addresses I get the following error message:
"Unable to establish a secure connection to web page failed. There is a
problem with the security certificate from that site (the identity of the
certificate issuer is unknown). The information you view and send will be
readable to others while in transit, and it may not go to the intended
party. Continue loading this page?"
Everything I've read so far about this problem seems to indicate that I
need to download IE 5.1.7, but when I headed over to the Microsoft
download page to do so, I learned that IE 5.1.7 only operates on OS 8.1 to
9.x. The other option presented, downloading IE 5.2.3, which presents
itself as an option for those with OS X appearantly only works for those
with OS 10.5.1 or higher...I'm beginning to wish that I hadn't upgraded at
all.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
