Hi Sergio,

It's very hard to diagnose performance problems without being there.  What

are the specs on your computer and monitor.  RAM, hard disk size and free 
space, monitor size and resolution.

1.  One factor that slow scrolling down is lots of graphics.
2.  Have you tested the same file on other machines?
3.  Are other programs open at the same time as Excel.

I'm not sure what you mean by the second question but if you are saying
that 
you can only enter 1024 characters in the data validation, List Source box

then instead of entering them in the box, enter them in the spreadsheet
and 
reference the range in the Source box.
