Relative paths in Excel

by Roddie Grant <roddie@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 14, 2007 at 12:49 PM

My Googling suggests that this is not possible, but I'm hoping someone
knows
better...

Can you use relative paths when linking work sheets with formulas?
(specifically with Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac).

I have a set of workbooks, heavily linked with formulas, which I would
like
to send back and forth to a colleague. But the formulas all begin
"Ruskin:Users:roddie" where Ruskin in my hard drive. My colleague would
have
to do lots of search and replace to use the files, and I'd have to do the
same when the files came back to me. My colleague and I are not on the
same
network so a shared workbook is not the answer.

I'm so used to ../../ from websites and Linux, that I find it hard to
believe Excel doesn't provide the same.

Thanks

Roddie Grant
