Hi Sterling -
First, you've posted to a defunct news group that I just peek at
periodically, and although I'm sure others do the same you'll get much
faster & better response if you use:
microsoft.public.mac.office.excel
Now, on the issue you posted - the most common reason for such apparent
'misbehavior' of windows relative to toolbars is that the toolbars are not
actually *docked* in the first place... even though they may appear to be.
Just a gap of 1 pixel will cause the behavior you describe.
Before going to any other lengths, make sure that any toolbars at the top
of
the screen are actually snugged up against one another & that the topmost
is
snugged up against the Menu Bar. The best approach I've found is to drag
them well away, then drag the first one back 'til it 'snaps' to the Menu
Bar's bottom edge, then 'snap' the next to the bottom edge of the first.
If you're certain that the gap is closed & still experience the same
problem
post it to the other group mentioned above. Be sure to specify which
version
of Excel & OS, including update status if you do.
