The new Intel iMac, yes. A G5 iMac, yes but not as fast. A G3 iMac will
be hopelessly underpowered for digital video.

No antivirus needed, as there are no viruses or malware in the wild,
only "proof of concept" crap used by the anti-virus software companies
to create FUD.

If you buy a new iMac, it comes with iTunes, iMovie and iDVD. To get
started you need nothing else.
