I'm pretty sure that's how you do it, yes. It's been a while though,
for me. 'man fsck' will tell you how.

If it finds nothing wrong, then we're back to the "remove half of the
RAM chips, rinse, lather, repeat" thing - and really, you should do that
regardless of this!
