I'm beginning to think it is the hardware. But just what?

The only thing that may be different from most setups is my internal RAID
with SwiftData controller, or my dual monitors. Maybe Leopard cannot deal
with these?

What s weird is that it took a couple of days to screw up the first time
with the preferred "Previous System Folder" approach.

Wiping the drive and using Migration Assistant yesterday took less than a
few hours to freeze.

Today? Hell, I couldn't even check for an update before the damn thing
crashed.

WTF?!?
