Gang,
A friend sent me the question below re. a statistical analysis app (SPSS
v11). Does this sound like a fixable problem in the OS, or is it more
likely a bug in the app? The latter isn't out of the question, as we've
already identified some other bugs in that app. I've searched on the
word "HOOPS" in the Apple knowledgebase and at Macfixit with no luck.
Any suggestions welcomed.

Any thoughts on what the following (fatal) warning implies:
----
Warning (51/2) from HOOPS routine 'Compute_Text_Extent'
If a font is scaleable, 'vspace' should be the vspace-to-Aheight ratio
----
A HOOPS Warning window opens with this message that cannot be closed ...
I am getting this error message whenever SPSS 11.0.2 or 11.0.1 try to
graph something under OS X 10.3 (e.g., residual plot within regression,
histogram or scatterplot from the Graphs menu). It sounds like a font
problem. Any thoughts? Any solutions?
