I've got a CAD file to the stage where I'd like a
few dozen crisp prints run off. These I'll try to
sell in support of a locomotive preservation group
I belong to.
I've been banging my head against a brick wall trying
to find a CAD bureau which understands anything other
than AutoCAD. I've spent time trawling for drivers for
their large format plotters, so I can at least generate a
plot file, but the plotter manufacturers also effectively
ignore Mac users too. "Use the LaserWriter driver and
buy a PostScript RIP for your plotter" as about as
far as they go. I've looked at an evaluation copy of
MacPlot, but it's not Carbon-compatible, and doesn't
have an Oce 9300 option.
Is this typical, or is it just England? Is there a
workaround?
Cheers,
Francis K.
