You can't pass your exceptions through Carbon either - you need to wrap 
and catch any exception so that it doesn't go through any of the 
multitude of Carbon based callbacks (i.e., user clicks a button, Carbon 
framework calls event handler for that, your event handler needs to call 
your logic code, but must make sure no exceptions are raised that aren't 
caught, because unwinding the stack through the GUI code will cause bad 
things to happen).

The big restriction with Objective-C is that if you mix the two at the 
logic level, you've got to be careful about exceptions - but if you 
program has the logic layer entirely in C++, why would it matter what 
wraps around it?
