fink and GLib version

by Susan Mackay <susanmackay@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 11, 2006 at 04:15 AM

I am new to Mac's and fink, but I'm trying to install some software
that is supposed to be OK for OSX 10.4. The ./configure script works
until it checks the version of GLib and complains that V2.0.0 is
required as a minimum.

I have fink installed and all packages are up-to-date. However the
GLib version there is 1.2.10-50 where the latest version elsewhere on
the internet is 2.x.x. I also have glib2 listed as version 2.6.6-1113
but that is a "different" package.

How can I get fink to install the latest version of GLib?

Thanks

Susan
