Mac Family Ref Manual (two editions)

Hello folks,

I found out that there are two editions of Macintosh Family Reference 
Manuals  (1988 and 1990 version).  What is any difference between them?  I

have first edition.

Also, there are three editions of Designing Cards and Drivers Manuals. 
What 
are any difference between them?  Does last 3rd edition includes Mac II
and 
SE information?
