1) This doesn't belong in any of the newsgroups you've posted to.
news:comp.sys.mac.hardware would have been better.
2) "initializing the USB ****t" on the Mac won't help, because that isn't
where the problem is.
3) When this occurs, have you tried re-initializing the keyboard by
unplugging it, waiting 10 seconds, then plugging it back in?
4) In System Preferences, the Keyboard and Mouse preference panel,
keyboard tab, there is a button: "Modifier Keys..." that will let you
map the Caps Lock key to "No Action". If you do that, does your keboard
still go into a bad state?
