I'm talking about Apple's bug re****ting system after signing in at
<http://bugre****t.apple.com>
with your ADC name & password.
The broad problem
1. RadarWeb has a new look & feel
2. All the assistance I can find/Google, including Apple's own various
FAQs, refer to the old look.
I didn't try looking for help until all attempts to save an interim
bug re****t choked with "No matching components found." errors. The
beginning of the re****t fields has a one-line text field marked
"Component," where arbitrary text can be entered. I guess my text
isn't being accepted. (I've tried "iPhone / iPod touch", "iPhone",
"Mac OS X", and "Other". The last two came from Apple's "Bug
Re****ting Best Practices" web page.) All of Apple's help refers to a
pop-up selection menu called "Product". Maybe an arbitrary-text field
shouldn't have been used if the choices are restricted, or at least
the entry page itself should list the restrictions!
This can be considered a bug in how RadarWeb works, or in the
do***entation not being updated yet. Of course, since I can't get bug
re****ting to work, I can't re****t this bug either!
Some other functions, like "Email Preferences," send me to an error
page, so maybe RadarWeb is totally broken for everyone right now?...
