What happens if you log out and back in? I have sometimes had to do this
several times and even had to delete all other copies of a newly build
application to get the icon to appear correctly. As one other poster
alluded
to, the Finder's LaunchServices database does not seem to be as rigorous
about this as the old Creator code mechanism used in OS 9.
