hp Laserjet 5L

I just inherited an hp Laserjet 5L, which has a parallel cable.  I want 
to run it from my iMac, OS 10.4.11.  I can buy a parallel-to-USB adaptor 
cable for about $13.  Is this printer worth the effort (and the $13!)? 
I just need it for presentable do***ent printing, no high-end graphics,
etc.
