If you've eliminated all the other variables, a possible explanation is
that the D-Link router is not bridging the packets (Bonjour, I think)
that Apple uses for printer sharing. A correctly designed wireless
access point bridges at a lower networking layer, passing all Ethernet
traffic between the wired and wireless networks. Some improperly
designed units fail to pass packets, depending on IP addresses, etc.
(This is also why some wireless routers don't work with the older
non-TCP/IP version of AppleTalk.)
