Promised to let you all know the outcome:
Purchased: Linksys Wireless G router
Configured: Disabled DHCP
Plugged into last hub in network but plugged into one of Linksys 4-
****ts not the main "network" ****t so just used as a switch.
Came up like buttah!

Oh, no, I didn't change anything in the MAC network.
