I can relate.
I'm also new to Mac, must say that I have no idea what all the fuss
was about, and I really hate the one button thing. It only took about
two hours to find this on line (this time). I just had to set it back
up this week, I screwed it up trying to dual boot Vista and had to
reinstall. Partition management for GPT sucks royally.
Assuming you have CUPS running on Ubuntu.
On MAC:
Attempt to print, click on Press button next to print (Add printer or
Print and Fax prefs) select Add Printer, at the bottom of the Printer
Browser, click on More Printers, In the top drop down box select
Windows Printing, in the one underneath select your Workgroup, you may
need to browse through Network Neighborhood. Select your printer
below.
