I had this problem on a new MacBook Pro that I believe turned out to be
caused by using a non-Apple router. I read somewhere that Apple's
implementation of the draft 802.11n standard isn't quite in keeping with
the implementation in some routers, and mine's a Linksys. Changing my
router to b/g only resolved the problem, and I've got the only system in
our house which *could* use 802.11n, so it's not currently an issue.
