I have a new mac, and with it a time capsule. Despite the wireless
capabilities of the time capsule, I'd like to just plug the thing into our
LAN here at work and do backups over the LAN.
However, I can't seem to get time machine to see the darned thing unless I
connect an ethernet cable directly from the computer to one of the 3
ethernet ****ts on the back of the time capsule. Or unless I set it up to
make its own wireless network (I can't seem to get it to be another base
station in our current wireless network, which is a pain).
So, I've connected the time capsule to our LAN using the WAN ****t on the
back - and I can ping it just fine, but I can't seem to access it to do
backups to it over the LAN.
Any help for this mac newbie?
Thanks.
