DragThing has a
Preferences -> General -> Startup
[] Update dock item information from disk
The following is from DragThing Help:
"To read the icons and names of dock items at startup from the
original files on disk, check this box.
With this option off, startup will be a lot faster, but the items
may not always be up to date. Switching off the "Identify missing
dock items at startup" option in the Items section of the
Preferences window will also help startup speed."
