Dear HyperCard users,
Economy-x-Talk has released another update of DIFfersifier.
DIFfersifier is a simple utility, which makes conversion of
HyperCard, MetaCard and Revolution stacks into a number of
text-based database formats as easy as possible. The DIF and
Merge file formats created by DIFfersifier can be im****ted by
most, if not all, well-known database applications. A
tab-delimited text format is also available, enhancing
flexibility for those who are creating their own database
software. DIFfersifier can also create HTML tables.
The conversion process only takes a few steps. After starting
DIFfersifier, a small window appears. Click the Select Stack
button and open a HyperCard, MetaCard or Revolution stack.
Choose a file format and a background or group and press enter.
After a few seconds, you are asked to give your new file a name
and save it in the appropriate folder.
Advantages of DIFfersifier are: convert HyperCard stacks on
systems that don't run HyperCard; no need to write your own
script for text ex****t; field names are preserved if the DIF or
Merge formats are chosen; DIFfersifier takes care of return
characters in fields, making sure that the database of your
choice displays the data correctly.
We have now added drag and drop, which makes converting stacks
even easier than before. You can download this new version from

Owners of a DIFfersifier 3 license are entitled to a free update
to DIFfersifier 3.1.2 and will also receive a free universal
update for intel Macs. We expect to release the universal
version for intel Macs in the second half of 2006.
