2 monitors on Mac Mini?

I currently have a DVI LCD monitor connected to a Mac Mini. I'd like to add
a 
VGA flat screen on which to view pallets while displaying the artwork on
the 
main monitor.

Is there a way to do this? I see this DVI splitter:

but I don't understand what this means: "Please note this splitter is 
compatible with DVI-D only and will not work with DVI-I." 

There is also something called the Matrox Dualhead2go but as far as I can 
tell it works only with VGA monitors. 

Other means to the end?
