Problems with Audio/Video capture

by Russell Andavall <andavall@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 5, 2007 at 06:30 AM

Ok, so I got an ADS Pyro A/V Link to convert Analog video to DV so I can
burn it into a DVD after editing it in either Premier 6.0. HD Movie or
iMovie or Final Cut. The problem is that I can not get my G4 Mirror
Doors Dual 1.0 to recognize the firewire card. It sees the video and
captures video fine, but there is no sound for it in preferances... I
also tried a Canopus card in this box and on a Digital Audio with the
same results... I think that Quicktime may be broken some where!!! I can
get Spin Doctor in Toast to capture the sound... but that does not do me
much good because its not caputring the video at the same time...
When I use Quicktime player to capture video, the sound bar comes across
as seeing the sound.. But when I am done, I get a video without any
sound... Is anyone else digitizing analog video? What are your
experiences? My neighbor used both boxes successfully with a PEECEE...
