Windows, the QT com component does not install

by "Jakob Nielsen" <spam@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 14, 2007 at 11:30 AM

I have tried installing and reinstalling the quicktime 7.1 sdk for windows,

but still the axtivex for "Apple QuickTime Control 2.0." is not being
installed. I have tried adding it into both vs2003 and vs2005 with no
luck.
Both have been present while installing, in case the installer looks for
visual studio and drops certain elements if vs is not present.

Aparently the sdk does not contain a single dll or ocx file, so
QTOControl.dll and QTOLibrary.dll can not even be installed acessed
directly...they are not there.

It seems that no other people are having this problem, but it looks like a

clear cut installer error. If the component is in those two dll files and
they are not there after an install, then the component is missing.

I realize that I am writing in a mac group though this is a windows
related
question, but there are no quicktime newsgroups that I am able to find.
