Height and width are optional attributes. The browser will establish the 
sizes when it downloads the images, which is why a refresh corrects the 
display. The reason for providing height and width is to allow the 
browser to allocate the space before displaying the page.

However thank you for reminding me that I didn't get around to doing 
this. I had forgotten I didn't do so. When I write the revised script 
for generating a photo gallery, I will make sure I get sips to provide 
the dimensions of the thumbnails and other images, and incor****ate them 
in the page.
