Ah, so, it turns out there *is* a price to be paid if you're
a Constitutional Monarchy and you set a new ruling party against the
will of the voters in order to be freed up to achieve some specific
aim (typically, for me, in reaping the advantages of Full Citizen****p
for all peoples in my nation). It turns out this raises militancy
among, well, everybody.
Also while in my current game I'm doing very nicely for the
United Kingdom as a world power and dominating the globe in a way
that Cecil Rhodes would find to be just about enough, I also kind of
accidentally without meaning to broke the Monarchy. With luck I can
stabilize back into some sort of democracy at least.
