Logitech Rumblepad 2?

by Thomas Reed <thomasareed@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 10, 2005 at 08:59 AM

I just bought a Logitech Rumblepad 2, and it's not working how I
expected. Nanosaur 2 was a major pain in the arse to configure for it
on one of my Macs, and didn't even respond to the joystick on the
other. USB Overdrive works fine with it on both, but the right-hand
stick doesn't work as a stick. It's only listed as a "Z-axis", and
up-down are the only motions that seem to be sup****ted. (I did
eventually get Nanosaur 2 to use the right stick for movement, after
fighting with the settings for at least 15 minutes -- not sure how,
exactly, but it seems that it isn't a hardware limitation.) Other
games, like Gish for example, don't seem to see it at all.

Should I return this thing, or is there a way to get it working right?
Anybody got a recommendation for a similar controller that'll actually
work?
