Hi Folks.

This is my first time here,

I decided to move from Windows XP to Apple and I have just purchased an
Apple iMAC G5 insight with 1 gig of ram / 20"monitor/ Logitech Attack 3
joystick and Logitech Z4 sound System.

I am looking to purchase a action type game and somebody told me to hold
off
buying right now as there is a new version of Quake for Apple computers
on
the way.

I have 3 questions I thought you folks on this site would be able to
advise
me about.

1. Is there in fact a new version of Quake coming onto the market anytime
soon?

2. If so, will it run ok on my set up?

3. Is Doom a better game than Quake? I would just like your opinion this.
I
have only ever played the very early versions of Doom on Windows98, so, I
would value your advise as to how these games have developed thus far.

Thanks in anticipation.

Les

PS: Just love my iMAC by the way.
