Right. So the application does have extended attributes. 

This command will tell you if the application has the 
com.apple.quarantine extended attribute:

     xattr -l /Applications/Dark\ Castle.app

If there's a com.apple.quarantine extended attribute, remove it with:

     xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Dark\ Castle\ 3.app

Then see if the application launches correctly with the attribute 
removed.
