What I usually do, because I've encountered this myself, is that I've 
all games in a subdirectory of "Applications" called "Games".

Log into your admin account, launch Terminal.app and type:

sudo chmod -R 777 /Applications/Games

Press 'return' and you will be prompted for your [admin] password.

This changes all subdirectories and files of the Games directory to have 
Read/Write/Delete access to all users.  I've found no negative side 
effect on other users having this access as it allows them to run the 
handful of games that might otherwise require individual [game] 
installations- and I'd rather save the disk space and not complain to 
tech sup****t where I'm sure I'll get no results [therein].
