This is true, but frequently not the case. I didn't see the OP, but I
install everything with an admin user, but run everything as a regular
user, and encounter permissions problems all the time. Zoo Tycoon and
Shrek 2 come to mind most recently. What I eventually did was use the
command line to set the permissions on all files in the game directory
to 777. Not the most secure solution, but effective.
