mySQL on Intel Mac

by "Scott R." <skr1224@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 3, 2006 at 12:21 PM

Hello:

I am new to Mac, so let me say that first. I have the Mac Book Pro OSX
10.4
Intel
I want to run mySQL and phpMyAdmin to it.
I downloaded mySQL for the Mac and ran the install but no idea if it is
running or how to get it running.
I also installed phpMyAdmin but here again I cannot figure out how to get
it
running. Speaking of this when I look at the file icons they show the
Dreamweaver image on all the php files. I'm sure this is not right either.

Dreamweaver is on the machine by the way.

Can someone help me or is there another group I should be asking this in??
