Printer Access Problem

by Garcpr <garcpr@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 8, 2008 at 10:35 AM

I have an iMac (Leopard) with a Canon iP4300 printer with Ethernet
links through a router to a WXP PC. I've lost the ability to print
on the Canon iP4300 on the iMac from the WXP PC.

I was able to print over the network before. I've run the various
Troubleshooters and Wizards including WXP Network Setup Wzd (which
provides for sharing printers), run Apple Bonjour a number of times on
the WXP PC, checked the Router ****ts, and the PC firewalls, checked
that printer sharing is on the iMac, and made sure the LAN is working
(file sharing works fine between the two).

Trying to print from Notepad or other programs on the PC, I get msg:
"Access denied. Unable to connect."

I have had this problem for a week now. I've tried to get help but
none of the suggestions have worked.

It feels like an OSX privileges problem. I would appreciate
suggestions.
