time capsule--gigabit ethernet to HD transfer speed

by TheKeith <ksdump@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 30, 2008 at 05:55 PM

quick question about using gigabit ethernet to transfer files to the
time capsule's built in HD. From what I could gather, this new hd
utilizes a serial ata interface, having a 3Gb/s transfer rate; and of
course gigabit ethernet is 1Gb/s. Am I not wrong then in assuming that
I should be able to transfer files to that internal drive at a
theoretical speed of 1Gb/s or at least not much slower (roughly double
the speed of usb 2.0)? If not, why not? Thanks.
