Time Capsule & SuperDuper!

by Earl Misanchuk <earl.misanchuk@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 5, 2008 at 04:40 PM

This inquiry seems to have two possible dimensions, hence the
cross-post. I have a G5 with two external hard drives attached. My
understanding from speaking to several AppleCare people and even a few
TimeCapsule users is that TimeMachine/TimeCapsule automatically backs up
ONLY the boot drive, but not the peripherals. My question is: Can I
partition TimeCapsule so that the boot drive gets backed up via
TimeMachine, and the peripherals get backed up onto the other partition
with SuperDuper! ?

TimeMachine/TimeCapsule sounds wonderful and works well according to
people I know who've used it, but I am reluctant to actually purchase
one if it won't completely do the job I need done.

I don't want to sound ungrateful up front, but I would appreciate *not*
receiving answers like "from my understanding", "I would expect", etc.,
and leaving those but having answers from those who have had actual
experience with this situation or a similar one.
