Is it?
The keynote had Jobs using speakerphone for a couple minutes through
the very middle of the features presentation.
That it was also mentioned during one of the many shorts about the
phone doesn't mean it was hidden; there were many animations describing
features, all short, and the person looking wouldn't have had to wait
long to see the feature presented.
