One of the things that makes America great is that we can freely talk
about
these things. We can say, for example, that the war our government is
engaged in is immoral and illegal - as citizens of a free nation we have
the
right and even, perhaps, the obligation to form educated opinions on such
things and to speak freely about them. Sadly there are some in the US who
will say we are acting improperly to state Bush is a law breaker and to
state our disagreement with his policies. Perhaps such people should live
under a dictator such as Saddam for a while (well, a living one might make
the point better!)

The fact that we have a white woman and a black man as top candidates for
one of the two major parties is a pretty good sign. Sure, there is still
bigotry in the US and people want to keep women doing "women's work" and
blacks from any form of power, but clearly there are enough people who
*disagree* with that to make it a possibility. With that said: voting
*for*
someone simply because they are black or female makes no sense either -
vote
for the best person for the job!

And in both cases I would say these are non-issues. The fact that Wright
has been turned into an issue is absurd.

And the darned leftist wants to expand the marines and air force...

He is working hard to distance himself from Bush... look at his recent
comments about the environment.

The media had a field day with this in regards to "waffling" Kerry

Well Obama lied about not wanting to be president... he had a grade school
paper that said he did! LOL!
