That last word is itself hard to chew on, but everyone knows by now:

"Penelope" -- extension for either Thunderbird or "Eudora 8"

"Eudora 8" -- modified version of Thunderbird (Penelope included in
download)

"Odysseus" -- would-be commercial competitor.
