Yes, the original purchase form never even asked
whether you were a Mac or Windows user,
because it made no difference.

Qualcomm doesn't want to collect any more money;
they only want not to be responsible for paying any third parties
with whom they contracted to include code and pay a commission
on each sale, regardless even if it is free,
so they can't actually give it away now, after "retiring" the product,
even though that seemed to be the intent of wording in their patent
(they in fact own a patent on the registration and sponsor****p system).
