Have I understood old postings correctly,
that even for OS X one needs "Classic" Mac line endings (CR)
in mailbox files, rather than Unix line endings (LF)?
For anyone converting in either direction between Windows and Mac,
the free utility "EditPad Lite" (which runs on the Windows side)
is simple and excellent for making the conversion,
but of course one needs to know, when going from Windows to Mac OS X,
which conversion to make!
FYI re EditPad Lite:
Description:
http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html
Download:
http://download.jgsoft.com/editpad/SetupEditPadLite.exe
To use this, once installed, for converting a file,
you just open the file with EditPad (easiest by just
dragging the file to an already opened EditPad window),
then in EditPad, click "Convert" > "To Unix (LF only)"
"To Macintosh (CR only)" or "To Windows (CR LF)"
then save the file, and it's been converted.
Thanks for any final word on what works for OS X.
