550 Error

by Alan Munn <amunn@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 19, 2008 at 06:39 PM

I have two mail accounts on the same server, each with a Eudora
personality.

One account is my main account which is used for sending and receiving
mail, which I do with no problems.

The other account is only used for sending mail; I never check its mail,
and don't want to check its mail. I used to be able to do this with no
trouble, but now whenever I try to send mail I get the following error:

"Couldn't send message; server says 550 SMTP AUTH required before
submission".

Both personalities have the same SSL and sending mail settings ("Allow
authorization" is checked.) The only difference seems to be that on the
main account, mail is checked as well as sent, while on the other
account, mail is never checked.

Is there something else I'm missing? Why won't this work?

Thanks

Alan
