Firefox unresponsive

by DaveC <me@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 29, 2006 at 12:53 AM

When a page is loading, I am unable to get any response until it is fully
loaded.

1) type URL and press Return (or click on a link)
2) click on Stop button in window header, or type Cmd-period
Nothing works (no scroll, no clicking on another link, nada) until the
page is fully loaded.

Is this true with other versions of Firefox? Is there any way to get
Firefox
to be more responsive during loading? Sure would save me wasted minutes.

Firefox 1.5.0.1; OS X 10.3.9

Thanks,
