Leopard issue with ethernet drive

by rifty@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Rifty) Apr 29, 2008 at 05:07 PM

Just wondering if anyone can give me some clues on this: since I
upgraded from Tiger to Leopard on my MacPro, it can't seem to make a
LaCie terabyte ethernet drive (through the router) appear on the desktop
windows of the MacPro (presumably in the SHARED area). I also have my
MacMini connected via the router to the network and the MacMini has no
trouble seeing the LaCie under Tiger OS. When the MacPro was running on
Tiger it has no trouble seeing the LaCie on the network.

I can get ftp access to the LaCie from the MacPro using Cyberduck, so it
is actually available to me using this workaround, but as the MacMini
and any other drives appear on the left hand panels of any of the MacPro
desktop file windows, I can't see what's stopping the MacPro seeing the
LaCie directly. I have been through as many seettings as I can think of
but have drawn a blank.

Any clues?
