Problem with Apple USB modem

by David <postings@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 24, 2007 at 05:58 AM

Hi All

Love my new 20" iMac, and generally it works well. One hassle tho is
that after letting/putting it to sleep when I attempt to connect by dial
up to the net it doesn't work.

licking on Internet Connect - Connect just takes me into a loop where it
seems the modem is not found - just get the status message of connecting
or such and nothing else happens - no sounds (normally I hear the dial
tone and the all the connecting noises)

Also, when I try and concel the attempt to connect the Internet Connect
application will not quit - even though I bring up that quit
applications box and choose force quit it will not quit (bit like
Windows hey)

Only way to get connected is to do a restart - and then all is well

David

PS: Anyone had any luck getting the USB modem to work with Windows under
bootcamp?

PSS: if anyone has the nouse could they try setting the modem to v90 and
see if that works, as in Windows it seems to perform the same way as in
the Mac when set to v92
