What about adding the second HD as an external? I'm not sure what iMac you
have, but it should have Firewire or USB ****ts. You would just need to get
an
external case with the appropriate connection and to make sure that the
programs you want to run will run sufficiently fast over the connection
used.
Of course, if the issue is that the processor itself is choking, then it
wouldn't matter if things are on a separate HD.
